Welcome to my most recent "squat".

Whilst I question how long this will last, this page and the links within make up a site that seems to do all I want, I may even settle a little bit with the rampant changes in design. Regular changes will surely continue but hopefully be not as radical. Then again....

I spend a part of each day on the web and use my time connected to exercise the mind. (that is all the exercise I get these days). I am interested in HTML, CSS and related technologies and have always been a software junkie, and still am. I research and study W3c conformity and ways to improve the readability of web pages, mainly to cater for my own declining vision.

With my change in circumstances, I no longer have the available funds to maintain my own domain. As a result [http://www.mswebpeople.com] is off-line and on hold. As a result I have been searching for a suitable FREE host that does all the things I want, and doesn't do the things I dislike.

I am currently spending most of my time connected 'riding an enormous wave'. A selection of great FREE hosts are on trial here and amongst some of the linked pages.

The 'geek' inside me, thrives on learning and I am currently attempting to better understand:

  1. META TAGS
  2. CSS Design & elements
  3. W3c Standards conformance ...

    Valid XHTML 1.0 Strict

All about CSS2

Recent changes include a change to the background colour (from [#c0daaa] to [#c4cccf]). This probably, or often demonstrates that I am colour blind. Being hopeless with colour makes it harder than it should be and I am often reliant on known WEB Colour Combinations. I do enjoy trying to build my own. I usually start with a picture that I like, and take complimentary colours from somewhere inside the picture. *I hope*.

I often spend hours a day on the PC in 'work mode', and am often side tracked onto a topic that grabs my attention.

On Trial.

Ø Recent time on the WEB has lead me to a number of "really good"  FREE Hosts.
This page is one. [Link]
Another is at: [Link].

All of these sites address all the major issues I have with the FREE Hosts of old. These include:

Health Status

Living with M.S. is an ongoing education, with something new most days. I have been diagnosed with 'PP MS' which sees continual, sometimes rapid, always unwelcome change. It is NOT a severe case, and on that basis, I consider myself lucky. I still look after my own personal care needs (etc.) which is not the case for some.

However as abilities are disappearing it is hard to not get frustrated at times. I no longer am able to: drive, walk, stand, see with reasonable vision, these abilities whilst considered as 'must haves' by some have 'exited stage left'. I am now a full-time wheelchair user, which affects my ability to do a range of things.

Current Frustrations: Vertigo, Leg Pain, Shoulder, Vision....

Since I have been connected (c1983) in one way or another to a remote system, in this case, and more recently to the World Wide Web, I have been captivated by Technology. These days my interest is in learning, keeping busy and catering for my own disabilities.

If this turns out like any of my other web sites, it will change, often, like the 'Melbourne Weather'.
